About the Client

Husqvarna (worth $6B) is an international brand that manufactures consumer and industrial equipment. You may recognize their consumer products such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, tractors, and more at the local hardware store.

They launched a new line of automatic lawnmowers that must be installed at the customer’s home.

They needed a product to facilitate scheduling and completing the installations. Managers would use the product from a desktop device, and Technicians would use it from smart phones and tablets while they’re on-site.

The solution was to launch a mobile-first web app that functions just as well on mobile as desktop.

A permission-based platform allows Managers and Technicians to log into the same portal. Managers assign Technicians installation requests and update Technician profiles. Technicians manage their active requests, access costumer information, and complete installations.

Key Figures

In Q3 2023, Husqvarna reported $720M in robotic mower sales over 12 months. Assuming an average cost of $3,000 per lawnmower, that represents 240,000 installations coordinated through this app.

A sitemap and user flow outline the app structure and workflows.

Medium fidelity wireframes illustrated the grid system and page layouts.

The UI Kit for mobile and desktop were based on Husqvarna's brand guidelines and incorporated additional elements from their website.
